In person floor nominations may be made at the General PTA meeting for those who are qualified.
How to Vote/Voting Instructions
PTA Board Elections will be conducted through a web elections site.
You will need to have access to a mobile device or computer during the voting window to cast your vote.
Special accommodations can be made for those that need assistance under the ADA. If you require accommodations you must notify the PTA no later than 72 hours prior to the election. Please contact the school in person, by phone or email hello@sterlingparkpta.org to make your request.
How to Cast your Vote
When the election window opens at 7:30pm on May 12th you will receive your unique voter code and a link via an email from electionrunner.com to the email address your PTA Membership is registered to. Please make sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it.
You must click on this link and cast your vote before the election window closes at 7:45pm.
If you are present at the PTA meeting you may request your unique code when checking in. However you will not be able to cast your vote till the window opens.
You may only vote once and your vote can not be changed after it has been cast.
Selection of Candidates
You will find several options for each candidate position that is open for election.
The first candidate listed will be the Nomination Committee Slate Pick, this is who the PTA Nominating Committee has selected for the position.
If there is a pre-registered self nominated candidate for the position, this will be listed second.
A write in option is provided if an eligible individual self nominates them self physically at the meeting. If you choose to vote for a write in you must provide the full name of the person.
No remote self nominated candidates will be accepted on the day of election.
You may only choose one candidate in each board position up for election.
Results of the Election
At the close of the election window the votes will be reviewed and certified by the nomination committee.
Results will be made known at the meeting and installation of the new board will be made.
For those remotely voting a post will be made to the PTA Facebook with the results.
PTA Membership Emails
Your PTA membership account can be verified at the givebacks link below. If you must change your email address, you must do so by May 10th.
If you do not change your email by this date and do not have access to your email address, you must attend the meeting in person to receive your unique code.
No changes will be made after May 10th to ensure records are complete.
